I had to do some things today - and I thought I'd post the results. I know nobody cares - but, the stuff is here if you dig it. You guys get the Not For The General Public version. It's cute.
We are moving closer to the inevitable. Checkmate is on the horizon.

I'm off to Deevaaaa's place tonight, because my little Kiwi angel has graciously offered to watercolour my pictures for Sleepy Rock - and so, I'm dropping off three of the cartoons that I've redrawn in pencil. Here they are, pre-watercolour. Next week - post-watercolour. Everyone give a big 'thank you' to your Aunty Deevaaaa.
You've all seen the original versions of these three - but here they are, redrawn in pencil on 300GSM watercolour paper. Most of the character designs that were absent from the originals are in place - David's hair is now as bouffant across the board as is necessary, Fogerty is two shades of colour, Harrigan has a boofy beard, and Bronnie is a little more Bronnie-esque.

More artwork from Sleepy Rock... too big for the scanner, so I took shots with the digital camera and shrank them down.

Because I receive literally hundreds upon hundreds of emails per day requesting an insight into the complex, often terrifying, but ultimately thrilling entity that is my creative process, I have decided to let the expansive Metal City audience into my private world of sheer, undiluted art.
Since Sleepy Rock has taken on new life as 2005's big project - and, surely, the one that will drag me out of the inhuman quagmire that is my current manifestation as pond scum-esque unemployed loser, I have decided that it might be entertaining to illustrate Sleepy Rock using my utterly limited - probably non-existant - abilities as a cartoonist. But powerful art doesn't happen overnight, as you're surely aware, and so - here are some of the drafts that I've been working on. Fuelled by chicken and corn soup and a love of culture, these are the scribblings which shall eventually take on a new life as components of Sleepy Rock's complex, bittersweet narrative. I hope you enjoy them.
Most of them are scanned in from model sheets for Fogerty. Fogerty has been the hardest to figure out, but his current incarnation is the one I'm happiest with, so here's a few poses for you.
